Hurricane Ike: We Were There

Blackmon Mooring was standing by to help families and businesses recover from Ike.

On September 13, Hurricane Ike pummeled the Southeast Coast of Texas, following hard on the heels of Hurricanes Dolly and Gustav. In each instance, Blackmon Mooring and our sister company BMS CAT were there to provide immediate assistance and get homes and businesses back to normal. Our response teams were rolling out within an hour after the hurricane passed through.  

Our response included properties in the greater Houston and Galveston area, as well as Louisiana and included corporate bank structures such as a downtown high rise, five hospitals, numerous retail structures and contents, manufacturing plants, ten hotels, an entire university/hospital campus (100 buildings), 40 locations of a grocery store chain, record storage companies and document recovery from various sources, a county stadium, arena and convention center, as well as numerous smaller local commercial structures.  We also responded to countless homes and families.

Needless to say, if you called us for carpet cleaning during the busy weeks following Ike, we may not have been able to respond as quickly as usual. We appreciate your patience, and for trusting us to assist you, whether it’s for carpet cleaning, air duct cleaning, or fire and water damage recovery.
